***Ribbleton Lane road closure extended: 8th December 2011***

The road closure on Ribbleton Lane between Gillet Street and Deepdale Mill Street will unfortuantely now have to remain in place until March 31, 2012.

We are working as fast as we can, but the sewer is in close proximity to two very important water mains which supply most of Preston with its clean water.  It's for this reason we need to be very careful to ensure they are not damaged in anyway.

It's important to us to make sure that while we're doing our bit to improve the sewer network in Preston, you can still do your everyday bits too! All businesses within the areas we are working including when the road is closed remain fully open.  So please pop in and support your local shops.

***Diversion extended: 16th November 2011***

The diversion currently in place for road works in Preston City, Watery Lane and Marsh Lane is unfortunately going to be extended for another six months.

The diversion is expected to last until the end of June 2012 which includes time for Lancashire County Council to put all the necessary traffic signals, road layout and signs.

We are very mindful of the Preston Guild celebrations next year and we are currently on target to remove lane closures before the event starts.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to work closely with Lancashire County Council to make sure we keep disruption to a minimum.

***Fishergate Hill***

Work at Fishergate Hill is ongoing and is due to complete in April 2012.  The Fishergate slip road wll remain open during this time.

Broadgate (project number 80021549)

We are constructing a new storage tank and a static screen and again we need to connect into the existing network which is located in the highway. The work starts on 27th July and should take up to 8 weeks to complete.
